Congratulations to our Mathletes who competed in the Intermediate Saigon Maths Competition this weekend.  Students age 14 and older were eligible to compete, and eight of our 8th grade students were selected to participate.  Our teams competed against 14 other teams from 7 other international schools in Saigon.  SSIS not only won the entire team competition, but had 2 students in the 4 way tie for 1st place!
The competitors were broken into two teams:
Team 1:  Dino Kim, Lucy Sa, Yeoun Jae Yoo, Suwon Jang
Team 2:  Sungkyu Jin, Hanbeom Lee, Yeojoon Hong, Esther Kwon
Team 2 won the Passback and Cross Number rounds and won the overall competition!

Team 1 did well in all rounds and placed 4th overall.

Lucy Sa and Sungkyu Jin were in a 4 way tie for 1st place on the individual round.
