Dear Parents of New and Returning High School Students,
With the new school year quickly approaching, I would like to share some information with you regarding registration and the first day of classes for all new and returning students.
Before providing specific information, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. As parents of returning students will recall, Mr. Paul Johnson, who has served as High School Principal at SSIS for the past seven years has moved on to New Dehli where he will be assuming the position of High School Principal at the American Embassy School of New Dehli. My name is Mr. John Kruk. I will be serving as High School Principal for the coming academic year.
This year, SSIS will hold a Registration Day prior to the first day of instruction for all new students and returning students. The Registration Day will occur on Monday, the 11th of August. Attendance at registration is mandatory for all students.
During the registration process students will submit required forms, receive their fall schedules and ID cards, check out textbooks, configure computers to the school server, put money on the SSIS ID card, and register for lockers. The first day of instruction for all new and returning students will occur on Tuesday the 12th of August.
Registration for Returning Students – Monday, 11 August
Registration on the 11th of August for all returning SSIS students, including incoming grade 9, will take place in the MPR in the 4th floor of the HS building from 08:30 to 12:00 according to the following schedule:

Registration & Orientation for New Students on Monday, 11 August
Registration and Orientation on the 11th of August for all new students will take place in the MPR on the 4th floor of the HS building from 13:00 to 15:15 according to the following schedule:
13:00 – 14:00 Introductions/ First day of school communications
14:00 – 14:30 Technology communication / laptop configuration
14:30 – 15:15 Schedules, student tour, bookroom
First Day of Instruction for ALL STUDENTS, Tuesday, the 12th of August
Tuesday, August 12, 2014 (8:00): First Day of Classes for all high school students. Students will arrive at 7:45am and report to the auditorium. The day will begin with an opening assembly at 8am.
