English: Literacies of the language

As a follow-up to last month’s presentation on expanding definitions of literacy, this month’s presentation will explore English language instruction. Literacy Coach Tara Ronzetti will introduce parents to the changing emphasis in teaching English language. As we understand how children learn language, educators are adjusting the emphasis of certain practices. We will examine these new priorities in language learning and help parents understand these changes. This presentation will provide parents with helpful resources they may use with their children at home to support their language learning.
