ASA STAGE DESIGN
SSIS students love taking part in the fun and diverse experiences that are offered
by our talented teachers, parents, and community members in the ASA (After
School Activities Program).
During the first semester, the Stage Design team (guided by Ms. Lisa and Ms.
Linh) includes 10 enthusiastic grade four and five students charged with the
artful challenge of creating a set design for the upcoming ES Winter Concerts.
In keeping with the concert theme of songs from the sea and holiday festivity,
students collaborate, invent and experiment with a variety of mixed media
processes that include Japanese Kirigami paper cutting, collage, and painting. The
beautiful set design will be showcased at the ES Winter Concert performances on
December 2nd (ES Grade 1-2, 2pm), and December 4th (ES Grade 3-5, 6:30 pm).
