SSIS is pleased to be hosting the SouthEast Asia Regional MathCounts competition. MathCounts is an international middle school competitive math program that promotes achievement in math through a series of competitions. From traditional tests, to head to head Sprint Rounds, Mathletes will compete with their peers from around the region. The SSIS Mathletes have been training since August for this big event. We are pleased to be hosting the following schools:
- Singapore American School
- Hong Kong International School
- Jakarta Intercultural School
- UWCSEA Dover and East Campuses
- International School of Beijing
- Shanghai Community International School
- International School of Bangkok
Our visiting Mathletes have a lot to look forward to during their time in Vietnam. In the spirit of friendship, the SSIS middle school student have invited the Mathletes to attend our Middle School Valentines Dance on Thursday, February 5th. Mathletes will also enjoy participating in a scavenger hunt at the Crescent Mall, a Vietnamese dinner at Binh Xuyen Restaurant, and seeing the AO Show at the Opera House.
