Congratulations to the 7th Grade Bake Sale committee, supervised and assisted by Ms. Bonnie Bertoia, MS Counselor, who raised $471 USD this week for Orphan Impact. The students joined together to plan, promote, and prepare for the bake sale which took place this Thursday and Friday. With lots of sweet treats prepared by students (and parents I’m sure), they handily brought in enough funds to support an orphan for 2 full years in the Orphan Impact program.
Orphan Impact prepares Vietnamese orphans for technology related markets by providing tech related training and access to technology. The goal is to ensure that the students has enough skill to enter the technology market at age 19 when they leave the orphanage. SSIS Middle School supports Tien, who resides at a local HCMC orphanage.
