“We brought glory to SSIS” – Doris Chung (Grade 7)
Nine middle school Mathletes traveled to Renaissance International School Saigon Saturday morning for the Saigon Mathematics Competition, Junior Round. SSIS competed against teams from:
- Renaissance International School Saigon (RISS)
- International School Ho Chi Minh City (ISHMC)
- British International School (BIS)
- British Vietnamese International School (BVIS)
- ABC International School (ABCIS)
- Australian International School (AIS)
- The American School (TAS)
- Tran Dai Nghia High School
The awards for the four events were awash with SSIS teams. Out of twenty teams, SSIS team 1 (Joon-Young, Jae-Young, and Lucy Sa) placed in the top three for all four events and won 1st place overall. Joon-Young also placed 2nd in the individual round.
SSIS team 2 (San, Giao, and Doris) placed in the top three in two of the events.
Please extend a big congratulations to the Mathletes whose hard work and dedication paid dividends Saturday morning!
Why are the SSIS Mathletes like a right angle?
Because they are always right!
