Dear parents,
Today we had very high attendance at the 2015-2016 Orientation Day, with nearly all families coming to this important event to ensure that the entire family was ready for the start of school. The day was divided into three parts:
- Welcome to the new school year
- Orientation to the classroom
- Preparing for the new school year

In the afternoon, we had an exciting workshop for grade 4 and 5 students and their parents. The purpose of this workshop was to discuss the student laptop program and help families prepare for the implications of “Laptops in your life.” Our Technology Coach (and now an Apple Distinguished Educator) Alfredo Papaseit led parents and students in this interactive hands-on workshop. The photograph below shows our auditorium full with the parent/student teams.
We are very optimistic for a great first day of school. We look forward to seeing you tomorrow.
