HS Principal’s Coffee- Building a Supportive Environment for your Teen (Link to Presentation in Blue Text)
When: Thursday, February 25 (8:15-9:15)
Where: MPR (4th Floor of the HS Building)
What: We will be engaging in a conversation about ways to create a supportive environment for your teenager. We will look at sections of the chapter about parenting high school age students from Madeline Levine’s book, Teach Your Children Well. While we are using this text in a parenting book club, it is not necessary to have read any of this book to prior to the meeting. The main sections of the chapter highlight ways to develop their adult thinking, learning to manage sexuality, building a sense of identity, and developing autonomy.
