Short, 3-question survey for parents, students and faculty

57

Dear members of the SSIS Community –

As mentioned early this month, I will be stepping down as Head of School at the end of next year (June 2018). You can read the SSIS Board announcement here.

The SSIS Board has moved quickly to organize a search group made up of board members and senior administrators to assist with finding our next Head of School. The prestigious Search Associates group, the largest and most successful recruitment group in International education, has been engaged to assist in the process, led by Mr. John Magagna and Mr. John Ritter. Both have had a long relationship with this School since its founding and have seen SSIS grow and develop over the years. They know our school and our community.

Mr. Ritter arrived in Ho Chi Minh City this week to begin work with our Board and senior administrators. A short, three-question survey has been prepared to solicit from the community (students, parents and teachers), thoughts on the critical traits and skills which are needed in our next Head of School. You can access the survey here. We ask that all parents, teachers, and students (grades 6-12) share their thoughts with the search group. This survey will close on Friday evening, 19 May 2017.

SSIS is a phenomenal school with eager and dedicated students, professional and caring teachers, and supportive parents – all of which enjoy our world-class curriculum and facilities which are both the products of our visionary founders—Mr. Lawrence Ting and Mr. Ferdinand Tsien.

Sincerely yours,

Mark Iver Sylte, Head of School
