SSIS HoS Search – Visit by Ms. Rhonda Norris

    Dear SSIS Community,

    We are excited to welcome HoS candidate Ms. Rhonda Norris to School on September 13-16. During her visit, Ms. Norris will meet with students, parents, teachers, support staff, and the Administration.  The meetings provide an opportunity for you to meet with Ms. Norris and ask whatever questions you may have. It is also an opportunity for Ms. Norris to get to know our community. We hope you will participate in this important process, and share your feedback with the Search Committee.

    In particular, we would like to highlight that Ms. Norris’ meeting with parents is scheduled for Thursday, Sept 14th, at 2:00 pm at the High School MPR (4th Fl.)   We hope you will take the time to attend this meeting.

    Each candidate brings their unique education background, experiences and strengths.  Ms. Norris’ brief biography as follows:

    Rhonda Norris – biographical statement

    Rhonda Norris earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from The university of Texas at Austin in the USA.  She earned her Master of Education in Education from Texas State University.  Ms. Norris has also earned her administrator’s license through Stephen F. Austin University in Texas and holds professional administrative license from the state of Texas.

    Ms. Norris has worked in the field of business as a Senior Auditor, Accounting Manager, Supervisory Accountant, Budget and Accounting Manager and Acquisition Specialist, and Controller.  In the field of education, she has worked as an instructor in higher education, a Director of Finance in Saudi Arabia, an Assistant Superintendent in Singapore, an Assistant Head of School in Japan, and a Deputy Head of School in China.  Ms. Norris is currently the Head of School at Carol Morgan School in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

    We look forward to hosting Ms. Norris, her husband Mr. Will Norris, and her son Nick, who will be joining in the visit, and hope that you will attend the meetings scheduled. Your input is important to the Search Committee as we move forward in the process of selecting the HoS.
