    Dear SSIS School Community,

On behalf of the Board, a resounding thank you to the SSIS community for your participation in the HOS search process. Thank you for warmly welcoming each finalist and their families to SSIS, for enthusiastically participating in the process of getting to know each finalist and providing the Search Committee with your valuable feedback and comments, and for allowing each finalist to get to know our wonderful community and school. As each finalist departed, they all commented on how much they appreciated the hospitality and warmth of our community, the special care they received during their visit, and how thorough the search process was, allowing them to understand who we are as a community and school.

The Board would also like to extend a special thank you to the Search Committee: Ms. Wai Mun Fong, Ms. Tina Fossgreen, Mr. Jacob Hendrickson, Ms. Molly Burger, Dr. Daniel Keller, and Mr. Robert Kostrzeski, for their hard work and dedication to this search. Each of the Committee members took precious time out of their busy schedules, first to determine the needs of the School and qualifications sought in a HOS candidate, followed by a thorough process of vetting and interviewing candidates, checking references, and selecting finalists. Then, during the past two weeks, the Committee arranged and hosted a comprehensive schedule for each candidate and their spouse/family, and moderated the many panels held with various groups at school. The valuable information and feedback gleaned from this process was then carefully analyzed and discussed by the Committee, who then provided their thoughtful views and insights to the Board.  These individuals have gone above and beyond the call of duty, and we hope you will join us in thanking them for their dedicated service to SSIS.

As we turn to the next steps, with the feedback from the community and the Search Committee, the Board will now discuss and make a decision, and extend an offer to one of the finalists.  Once the finalist accepts the offer, and all other finalists notified of the decision, an announcement to the community will be sent. We anticipate an appointment will be made during the next week.

Once again, the Board sincerely thanks all of you and the Search Committee, for your time and contributions in this important endeavor.

    Sincerely,

    SSIS Board
