Dear elementary parents,

The high school students have organized an “ecoSSIStem club” and are hosting an event this Saturday at SSIS.  This event ties in perfectly with the current Super Unit your child is studying about “Understanding our Environment: Sharing the Resources of our Planet.”  I hope you will bring your child to this event, as I believe it would be a great way to expand their learning.

Sincerely,

Daniel J. Keller, PhD
Elementary School Principal

This Saturday, February 24th, the ecoSSIStem club will be holding a schoolwide Go Green Day to raise awareness of environmental initiatives that everyone can be a part of!

Go Green Day will resemble a Family Fun Day, except with a special focus on engaging our own SSIS elementary students about the environment, as they are currently learning about it in class. That said, we welcome the entire SSIS community to enjoy our many games, workshops, NGOs, and local vendors!

  • This Saturday, February 24th, 10am to 1pm

  • Games, food, and prizes!

  • Activities: Composting, Planting, Upcycling, “Sort the Trash” Sack Race

  • 18 PRIZES UP FOR GRABS from our partners!
