SSIS has another author visiting campus this semester. Andrew Lam, author of Perfume Dreams: Reflections on the Vietnamese Diaspora, East Eats West, and Birds of Paradise Lost will be coming tomorrow to give talks to our high school students.
Andrew is a writer of short fiction, essays, and articles and has been a lifelong journalist whose concern is with language and identity, the experience of the Vietnamese diaspora and of refugees, and has written with great power and insight on their experience (which has been his as well).Our students are very lucky to have this experience.
