Dear Parents,
As SSIS Elementary School moves forward with the implementation of our new MakerSpace, we have brought two consultants from Hong Kong International School to work with our teachers on Friday and Saturday. On Friday, we have developed customized times for different groups of teachers to work in small groups with the consultants on developing learning experiences specifically for their grade level. During the short times that your child’s teacher may be out of the classroom, they have left activity plans for the teaching assistant to implement with the students. On Saturday, we are hosting an EARCOS (East Asia Regional Council of Schools) MakerSpace professional development workshop for teachers throughout this region of the world. If your child is in grades 3 or 4, you may want to ask them how they are currently engaged in learning activities using our MakerSpace!
