SSIS is delighted to welcome award-winning author Minh Lê to our school! Mr. Lê, who has written picture books that are loved around the world, will meet with students from each division and will also host a parent session on Wednesday, April 12, at 8:15 am in MPR4.
Parents, students, and faculty will hear the fascinating story of Mr. Lê’s career as a Vietnamese American author, the importance of representation in literature, and how to nurture a joy of reading to become a lifelong reader.
Minh Lê will also be signing books in the Plaza on April 10, 11, and 12 from 3:00 pm. Paperbacks Saigon will be on campus too if you would like to buy a book to be autographed.
Minh Lê’s Bio Minh Lê is the author of the picture book “Lift” (a Best Book of the Year by the Washington Post, Kirkus Reviews, and the Boston Globe, among others). He has also written several other books—including the DC Comics graphic novel “Green Lantern: Legacy”—and is currently working on the authorized picture book biography of Thích Nhất Hạnh.
