August 29: ES Parent Workshop on “SeeSaw”, 8:00 – 9:00 AM

317
On August 29, the Elementary School will host a workshop in the ES Library, from 8:00 to 9:00 AM to help parents with the new online learning journal, SeeSaw. SeeSaw is a new online learning journal tool for ES. It is being used across all grades of Elementary School.
During the session, parents are encouraged to bring devices from which they will want to use SeeSaw. There will also be iPads on loan, should you just wish to follow along.
During this session parents will learn:
  • How to setup SeeSaw
  • How to use SeeSaw
  • How SeeSaw can be used to improve and support your child’s learning
This session will be presented by David Curran, Instructional Coach for Technology.  Refreshments will be provided.

More About SeeSaw

SeeSaw is an online learning journal tool, available for mobile devices (iPhone, Android) and web browsers, where students upload and share work. Parents can view and comment on their child’s work through SeeSaw

SeeSaw is also a very important tool for ES teachers, who can comment on your child’s work individually, communicate with you privately and while also using SeeSaw to communicate with all parents in the class, at once.

SeeSaw does not replace eNews, emails or the official school SMS messaging. You will still receive school news and news that concerns the whole ES division through these channels.
