Dear SSIS Parents,
Although we remained hopeful that we would be able to start school on campus next week, all schools in HCMC have just been directed by the HCMC’s People’s Committee in Official Letter No. 708 to extend the temporary campus closure until March 8th for all students.
SSIS will continue to deliver the curriculum to all students through Virtual School, and teachers will continue to report to campus every day to support your children’s online learning. Please note that students will not be allowed on campus during the extended temporary campus closure.
While we were very much looking forward to having your children back in school with us, we respect the government’s citywide directive for implementing all possible precautionary measures for your children’s safety.
Our divisional leadership teams have been reaching out to students throughout the past weeks to ensure their wellbeing. Should you feel that this situation is becoming a concern for your child, please let us know. Your children’s academic, physical, social-emotional wellbeing is our greatest priority and we will do our best to help your family through the challenges that the Novel Coronavirus is presenting to our community.
