315

We are excited to announce that our first parent book club will be starting this semester, as announced before the break. The first session will be on Tuesday, January 12, at 8:30 am. Sign-ups are required as space is limited.

The Book

For this first parent book club, we have selected the book “The Strength Switch: How The New Science of Strength-Based Parenting Can Help Your Child and Your Teen to Flourish” by Lea Waters.

Practical tips for parents from the wise and wonderful Lea Waters! So many parents, including me, struggle to translate scientific research into real-world strategies. This terrific book not only helps us understand ourselves and our children better but also makes that understanding actionable!”‘

—Angela Duckworth, PhD, author of the New York Times bestseller Grit

What Will You Learn?

In her book, psychologist and leading expert on strength-based parenting, Lea Waters, provides real-world strategies and scenarios founded in scientific research. The many practical and actionable tips provided in the book will teach parents how building on their child’s strengths helps them succeed.
