Dear Families,
We are excited to welcome you to the new school year! We have an exciting Week of Welcome (WOW) prepared for you. From parent orientation meetings, student orientation, and the first days of classes, we are ready to kick off the school year with great enthusiasm!
Attendance at Orientation is mandatory for all students, new and returning. As you will see below, we have additional orientation activities specifically for students new to SSIS and for Remote Learning students (students who are in a time zone that does not allow them to attend synchronous lessons).
To-Do Before Orientation
- Log into PowerSchool and know who your advisor is
- Set up your learning environment
To Have For Orientation
- Fully charged laptop
- Headphones or earbuds
- Pencil or pen, and paper
- Water bottle
- A healthy body – remember, being well-rested is important to your health
- Uniform (optional, but please follow our dress code)

- You can find directions here if needed
