Dear SSIS MS Parents and Guardians,
This year’s Middle School Curriculum Night will be held virtually, on Thursday, August 26 from 6:00-8:15 pm. We hope that you will add this to your calendar and that all Middle School parents and students attend.
Curriculum Night is an important kick-off to the school year and your participation ensures that we’re beginning the year together, with the same information.
What to Expect
This shared experience is an opportunity for parents and students to:
- Learn about each teacher
- Learn about each course
- See the learning environment
- View curriculum resources
- Learn how to contact the teacher
Curriculum Night Online: Three parts
Curriculum Night will consist of three parts: a Welcome meeting, “visiting” your child’s 8 classes, and a feedback form where you can submit any questions you may still have.
Part 1 – Welcome
The Welcome is for all Middle School parents and students. It starts at 6:00 pm and we ask that you please log in a few minutes before, to ensure that you are on time.
(Please see your email for the Zoom link)
Part 2 – Visiting Your Child’s Classes
After the Welcome, you will visit all 8 of your child’s classes online. Your child has prepared his/her schedule with the Zoom links you will need, in the order you will need them, to get to the classes at the right time.
NOTE: Even virtually, it is sometimes possible to get “lost”. If you get lost, don’t worry, we have a team ready and waiting to support you at the “Welcome” Zoom link.
Part 3 – Feedback Form
The final component of our Curriculum Night will be a Google Form where you can submit all your questions. We will make sure that your questions will be answered and common questions will be collected in an FAQ document for follow-up.
We look forward to seeing you there.
