Dear ES Parents,

Starting next week, we are launching a new exciting initiative to make more time for student connections and additional specialist enrichment.

In response to your feedback and requests, the new initiative, “Discovery Days,” will give students in Grades 1 – 5 more opportunities for social interactions in a natural way.

How Will A “Discovery Day” Work?

Every two weeks (exact timing will depend on the schedule rotation), there will be a dedicated half-day, i.e., “Discovery Day,” in your child’s schedule. It will be marked in their Google calendar and will take the place of one or two of their homeroom classes.

During their Discovery Day, your child may participate in a bonus specialist class, play an interactive game, explore a virtual field trip, and enjoy small group collaborations, each with an emphasis on connection with other students.

We are very excited to launch this initiative and hope your children will enjoy the additional time for social connection and enrichments. We look forward to hearing your feedback.
