Dear Parents,
We will open the registrations for Parent-Teacher conferences next week. These conferences are a very important part of your child’s education at SSIS. Each family is expected to schedule an appointment to meet with their child’s teacher.
This letter will explain everything that you need to know to schedule and make the most of your Parent-Teacher conference.
Why Do We Have Parent-Teacher Conferences?
Parent-Teacher conferences are an important part of your child’s development and success at SSIS. During conferences we: review your child’s academic progress, discuss your child’s social and emotional growth, set goals for your child, and discuss the best way to support your child in reaching his/her goals.
When Are Parent-Teacher Conferences?
Parent-Teacher Conference appointments can be scheduled during the following dates and times:
- Thursday, March 24, 2022 from 1:00 pm – 7:55 pm
- Friday, March 25, 2022 from 8:00 am – 2:55 pm
Each appointment is 15 minutes long. Once you have signed up for an appointment, your child’s classroom teacher will send you an invitation to the link for the video conference.
Teaching assistants (TA’s) can help translate for Vietnamese-speakers, as needed. For other languages, parents will need to make their own translation arrangements.
How Do I Schedule an Appointment?
Each family must log in to their “SchoolsBuddy” account to schedule their Parent-Teacher Conference appointment: https://saigonsis.schoolsbuddy.net/Account/Login
Scheduling will open in SchoolsBuddy on Wednesday, March 16 at 9:00 am and close on Tuesday, March 22 at 9:00 am. SchoolsBuddy works on a “first-come-first-serve” basis, so parents should schedule their appointments as soon as possible, starting March 16.

If You Do Not Have a SchoolsBuddy Account
To schedule an appointment you must have a SchoolsBuddy account. If you have not registered your SchoolsBuddy account, you must contact the ICT department (ict@ssis.edu.vn) to request a new activation link. You will not be able to schedule your appointment until your SchoolsBuddy account has been activated.
