Coming to SSIS for All MS and HS Students, Parents and Coaches: Motivational Speaker Rob Miller – Life Lessons and Leadership

From Thursday, Dec. 7 through Saturday, Dec. 9th, SSIS will have internationally renowned motivational speaker Rob Miller from the Proactive Coaching association on campus.  Mr. Miller will be speaking with parents, students, and coaches.
Parent are invited to attend a seminar on Thursday, Dec. 7 from 1-3:00 in the MPR.  This session will focus on how we can better support our children as they develop leadership and skills necessary to being an effective and positive team member – for all the different types of teams our children are on (not just sport teams).
 
He will be offering free workshops to all MS-HS students in the SSIS Auditorium on Saturday, Dec. 9th from 1-4pm. This is not just for sporty kids……as you can see by the topics below these workshops can apply to any part of student life. Any SSIS MS or HS student that wants to attend, CAN attend.
 
Athlete workshop sessions from 1pm to 4pm will focus on the following:
  • ​SESSION ONE – ​

    LIFE LESSONS FOR ATHLETES – Have standards, not rules. The clearer behavioral standards are defined, the better chance you will rise to them.

  • ​SESSION TWO – ​

    7 WAYS TO LEAD YOUR TEAM – Applies seven principles of leadership and talks about loyalty, praising others, solving problems, and mental toughness.
