Dear Parents,
The Ho Chi Minh Midnight Half Marathon will take place on Saturday, February 11, 2023. Almost 100 SSIS students and faculty members have registered to run in it! We would love to have some SSIS parents also represent our community at this event! There are a variety of distances to choose from, 5km, 10km, half marathon, or full marathon.
The run starts at midnight and will go into the early hours of Sunday, February 12. The official website has further information.
If you would like to sign up for the run, please click this link to register and receive a 10% discount as part of the SSIS group entry.
You will need the SSIS group password: GoDragons!
With the 10% discount, the prices are:
- 5km: 638,100 VND
- 10km: 899,100 VND
- Half marathon: 1,106,100 VND
- Full marathon: 1,313,100 VND
You must complete your registration and payment by November 25 at 3:00 pm. The organizers have strict deadlines so we will not be able to accept late entries—please register and pay on time!
Once you have registered, you can pay your entry fee to Sophia Woo at the PTA office (HS Building, C103) — cash payments only, please.
We are designing a blue SSIS running shirt for our runners to wear during the event. This will be available to purchase for an additional cost closer to the date.
Closer to the event, we will reach out to parents to help us plan a celebration for our student runners at the end of the run. Finishing such a distance is a huge achievement, so it’s something we really want to celebrate!
