Dear SSIS Community,
October 14-16, SSIS continues our tradition of International Week. The theme for this year’s International Week is “Arts Around the World”. International Week will include such exciting events as an Arts Mash Up, Art Stations, Parade of Flags, All School Photo, International Day Assembly, and the International Food Festival. The schedule is listed below.
Friday, October 16 begins the day with two exciting events for the entire school community: our Traditional Parade of Flags (everyone invited to join us, wear country colors or traditional country dress) and All School Photo (all parents, staff, and students are invited for the photo too!). In the afternoon, classes end 30 minutes early so we can begin celebrating the International Food Festival. This year, we are expanding the International Food Festival to the back field due to the high interest in this event. We are inviting the entire school community to join us for great food from around the world. Please contribute by signing-up here to bring a dish and celebrate your national culinary pride.
We look forward to celebrating the international diversity that makes SSIS such a great school!
Sincerely,
Your SSIS International Week Committee
