Dear Parents of HS Students,
The next HS Principal Coffee will be held in the MPR on Thursday 29, January starting at 8:15 am. The topic for the Parent Coffee is Understanding PSAT Results:
The information provided will help you to gain a better understanding of the four major parts of the PSAT, student skills being tested, answer your questions, and explain next steps in standardised testing. You son’s/daughter’s PSAT scores will be available for your reference.
SSIS Idol is an annual event organized by SSIS Heartbeat Vietnam members. All money raised goes to paying for heart operations for local children. This year’s Idol will take place on Thursday, January 29 in the auditorium starting at 6:30pm. About 20 SSIS students will perform, some solo, some in duos and some in bands. There will also be a guest performance by local group F Band. Judgement will be handed down by three HS Faculty: Nomer Adona, Bob Johnston and Tad Herrold. Tickets are available from Fanny Perdu, Bob Lee and Andrew Crawford at the bargain price of 50,000 VND for students and 100,000 VND for adults. Tickets will be available at the door. We’d love to see you there.
The HS Student Council will be hosting an evening event on Friday, 30 January from 6 pm to 8 pm at SSIS. The event is a friendly competition of grade levels culminating in the grand prize of a pizza for the winning grade level: 9, 10, 11, or 12. The activities include sporting and reasoning events. The goal is to help improve school spirit and communications across grade levels.
