Exciting Updates and a Successful Start

    222

    Dear SSIS Parents,

What a historic week it has been! This week, the excitement and joy were palpable as grades EC-6 met their friends and teachers in person and attended school on campus for the first time this school year.

Starting Monday, February 14, we will have all grade levels on campus, full day. And to ensure that it is a happy and positive experience for everyone, I would like to provide you with a few exciting updates and a reminder.

    Introducing the SSIS Health App

Today, you received news about the new SSIS Health App. Our ICT department developed the app to simplify submitting the daily health declarations, which now will only take a few clicks. You can find more information about the app and how to install it on eNews.

    Covered Pavilion Nears Completion

Another exciting update is that the covered pavilion we’re building to ease congestion at our main gate is nearly finished. We will keep you updated, as EC-Grade 2 parents will use this area for pick-up soon.

    Traffic Regulations Reminder

Traffic will naturally increase as we return to having all grades on campus. For the safety of your children, we urge everyone to revisit our traffic regulations and ensure that your drivers are familiar with our on-campus rules.

    Listening to our Parents

In closing, I would like to thank all of our parents who participated in the satisfaction survey we issued before Christmas break. Your feedback allows us to continue improving our programs.

Overall, parents were pleased with the response provided by SSIS, as illustrated below in the answers to the question, “Considering the Vietnamese government restrictions during the first semester, I am satisfied with the overall response of SSIS.” Satisfaction was also high regarding the workload, balance, and communication you received from the school.

Now that students are back to in-person learning, they will have many opportunities to connect on our beautiful campus, build new relationships and rekindle old ones. We are also exploring options for after-school activities (ASAs) and sports across the school, and you can expect more information about this from your child’s divisional principal.

With this, I wish you all a restful weekend. We can’t wait to have all of your children back on campus next week, and for those who cannot yet attend in person, we will continue to provide a high-quality learning experience online.

    All good wishes,

    Dr. Catriona Moran
    Head of School
