[Video] Covid Status in HCMC – Parent Information Session with Dr. Phi, International SOS, February 22

    139

    Dear SSIS Parents,

Thank you to those of you who attended the session today with Dr. Phi Truong, Medical Director at International SOS, and Lisa Chute, Health Office Manager at SSIS.

The presentation answered many of the questions that our community had about Covid and the recent upswing of cases in Ho Chi Minh City. If you missed the presentation, I encourage you to watch it, it was extremely informative.

We are currently awaiting information from the Department of Education and Training (DOET) who will provide their interpretation of two directives received yesterday and today  respectively, from the Ministry of Health:

    1. Directive #796/BYT-MT (English / Vietnamese) outlines new guidelines regarding COVID-19 prevention and control when organizing teaching and learning on campus, particularly regarding changes in F1 designation and quarantine times.
    2. Directive #11042/BYT-DP (English / Vietnamese) outlines changes in F1 designation, merely definition of F0, F1 and suspected cases.

As soon as we know how DOET will apply these guidelines to schools, we will share that information with you.

As always, I want to thank you for your continued support and understanding as we adapt to changing health and safety mandates. Our first priorities are keeping your children safe and providing them with a high-quality program. We are committed to doing that whether we are required by law to do so online or in person, as circumstances dictate.

    All good wishes,

    Dr. Catriona Moran

    Head of School
