November 15 & 16: International School Science Competition

1039

On Friday, November 15 and Saturday, November 16, the High School students from all over Ho Chi Minh City will gather at SSIS for the fourth International School Science Competition. First started in 2016, the competition will stretch over two days, and will be held in the HS science rooms, the HS gym, and the Auditorium.

The competition is split into two days, and two components. Friday, November 15 at 5:30 pm, teams will begin with the chemistry component in the HS science rooms. This year the chemistry component is a timed water purification challenge.

Saturday will kick-off with an opening ceremony in the Auditorium, after which teams from each of the competing schools will either present to the judges, or, for the physics component, they will be tasked with creating a product in just 90 minutes. Later, on the field, they will compete with the gliders they have developed for the past several months, from approximately 3:20 to 5:30 pm.

The closing ceremony will be held in the Auditorium from 5:45 to 6:30.
